The following, which was advanced to third reading from the April 29,                               
2002, calendar (page 3215), was read the third time:                                                
                                                                                                    
    CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 271(JUD)                                                                  
    "An Act relating to recovery of punitive damages resulting from                                 
    an aviation accident; and providing for an effective date."

Representatives Hudson and Kapsner moved and asked unanimous                                        
consent that they be allowed to abstain from voting due to a conflict of                            
interest.  Objection was heard, and the members were required to vote.                              
                                                                                                    
The question being:  "Shall CSHB 271(JUD) pass the House?"  The

CSHB 271(JUD) was referred to the Chief Clerk for engrossment.
